Dr
Anthony O. Oboh, Ph.D
MD/CEO
Anthony Oboh has responsibility for the Manager’s business
operations and overall activities of the company. He joined UVC in
2004 from National Risk Fund PLC, Nigeria’s first venture capital
company, where he left as the Ag Managing Director and Chief
Executive Officer. Between 1989 and 1995, he worked at the Raw
Materials Research and Development Council (“RMRDC”) where he was
the Head of the Consultancy & Engineering Service division for
several years, as well as the pioneering head of several other
divisions, including the Techno-marketing, Investment Promotions and
Joint Ventures Divisions of the RMRDC. Before joining RMRDC, Dr.
Oboh was for ten years, from 1979 to 1989, a research scientist on
the end-use-research of palms and palm products at the Nigerian
Institute for Oil Palm Research.
Dr. Oboh has a B.Sc., an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. degree (1986) in Food
Process Engineering, all from the University of Ibadan. He was a
1987 European Economic Community Post Doctorial fellowship award
recipient at North East Wales Institute, New tech, a research,
innovation and commercialization center based in the United Kingdom,
and a 1989 Federal Ministry of Science and Technology Nigerian
National Innovator/Inventor of the Year prize winner. He was also a
1994 award recipient of the Rockefeller Foundation’s Leadership
program. Dr. Oboh has vast experience in research, industrial
consultancy, technology marketing, investment promotion and joint
venture deal structuring. He has attended several management,
project management and advanced management courses, both locally in
Nigeria and internationally.
Dr. Oboh is a member of several professional bodies and
associations, including the Nigerian Institute of Food Science &
Technology, the American Oils and Chemist Society (AOCS) and the
Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST). He is also a fellow
of the Rockefeller Foundation’s Leadership for Environment and
Development (LEAD). |

Fred E.
Anigbogu. B. Engr. (Mech.),M.B.A, FCA
Head of Operations/WAVF Investment and Compliance Manager
Mr. Fred has over 22 years track record in multidisciplinary
functional areas of operations. He was the Chief Operating Officer
of Amalgamated Capital Fund Ltd (a VC/PE Company), where he
developed, executed and maintained operational procedures and
performance standards within the Fund with emphasis on SMEs and
other entrepreneurial projects.
He is well exposed to Engineering/Information Technology, Banking,
Venture Capital/Private Equity Investments, Accounting, Financial
and Project Management especially in SMEs environments and had
played pivotal roles in project initiation, analysis, packaging and
execution including cross border investments. He is currently a
Facilitator in several Entrepreneurial Development institutions
including FATE FOUNDATION having taught over 400 aspiring SME
entrepreneurs and mentoring quite a number.
He was formally an Assistant Director - Private Sector Support
Services in the United States-Nigeria Development Institute, a
cross-border developmental institution where he had oversight
functions and working relationships with United States based Small
Business Administration (SBA). Prior to this, he was Manager/Head,
Credits & Appraisal Department of the National Risk Fund PLC, Lagos
(pioneer Venture Capital Company in Nigeria). He earlier worked as
an investment banker as Assistant Manager, Corporate Banking
Department in Merchant Bank of Africa Ltd, Lagos after a stint with
Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited.
Mr. Fred has a
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA in Project
Management and he is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Nigeria.
He had attended
various courses, seminars and conferences in Management, Leadership,
Private Equity and Project Management both locally and
internationally.

Churchill
C. Ihua. B.Sc, MBA
Senior Manager, Projects & Investment
Ihua Churchill Chinwem has over 17 years experience covering
mainstream banking operations, funds management & financial
intermediation, project management and venture capital financing. He
has attended several courses both locally in Nigeria and
internationally
Mr. Ihua is currently the Head of Projects/Investments of Unique
Venture Capital Management Company Ltd Lagos-Nigeria, a portfolio he
has handled for over three years. His responsibility includes
overall supervision of projects investments, from projects appraisal
to investments implementation to monitoring. He is skilled in
financial modelling, project deal sourcing, structuring negotiation
and investment proposal packaging.
Mr. Ihua started his career as a mainstream banker in 1992 with the
All States Trust Bank Nig. Ltd. where he worked primarily in the
operations department of the bank. He was central to the bank’s
expansion initiatives, especially in the eastern parts of Nigeria.
He later worked at Ecobank Nigeria Plc. until 1996.
Before joining UVC in 2004, Mr. Ihua became involved in fund
management and financial intermediation with Exodes Investments and
First Chartered Trust Group, where he handled strategic
responsibilities as General Manager. Mr. Ihua received his B.Sc. in
Banking and finance from the University of Port Harcourt and his MBA
from ESUT Business School, Enugu. |

Suzan O.
Memuduaghan. B.Sc., PGD M.Sc.
Senior Manager, Business Development
Ms. Memuduaghan has extensive public relations and marketing
experience. She is a marketer and banker by training, having earned
a B.Sc. in Marketing (1992), a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Public
Administration (1996) and a M.Sc. in Banking and Finance (1999).
Ms. Memuduaghan’s wealth of experience spans the banking,
manufacturing and venture capital industries. She served as a
Treasury & Marketing Officer for about three years with Rockville
Savings & Loans Ltd., a mortgage banking company. She was also an
Operations Officer with Fragonie Henri Company, where she worked for
about four years creating and executing business opportunities on
behalf of the company. Her experience at Masterstroke Packaging Co.
Ltd. provided her the opportunity to run and manage the scratch card
unit of the company for three years before joining UVC at its
inception in 2004.
Ms. Memuduaghan’s purview includes all business development strategy
and implementation for both UVC and its portfolio companies. |

Churchill
O. Imasuen MBA, ACA
Head of Corporate Services
Mr. Imasuen is an accountant by profession, a Higher National
Diploma (HND) graduate in Accountancy from Auchi Polytechnic Auchi
(1995) with professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant
with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He also has
an MBA from the University of Benin, Benin City in Nigeria.
His work experience spans audit and banking. Mr. Imasuen trained as
an auditor and rose to a managerial position in the audit firm Giwa
Osagie & Co Benin, where he worked from 1997 to 2002. In that
capacity, he led teams for several audit assignments which spanned
manufacturing, oil & gas, banking and other sectors.
He ventured
into the banking sector as an internal auditor and Branch Control
Officer at Intercontinental Bank of Nigeria Plc. He joined UVC in
2004.Mr. Imasuen is currently Head of Accounts and Acting Head of
the Corporate Services Division of UVC.

Elizabeth
E. Oghidi. B.Sc.
Head of Office Administration
Ms. Oghidi is a trained secretary, has a degree in Accounting and is
currently working towards becoming a chartered accountant of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She has over 15 years
of experience in office administration and has worked in various
organizations. She started her career at the Accounts/Administration
and Consular Departments of the Indian High Commission in Lagos,
where she worked from February 1989 until January 1995. She joined
National Risk Fund Plc, Lagos in May 1995, and was promoted to the
post of Secretary and Administrative Officer to the Acting MD/CEO.
She left this post in April 2004 to join UVC, where she helped UVC
prepare to begin operations. She is currently UVC’s office manager
in charge of administrative matters, human resources and general
office management. |

Legal Officer, Legal Unit
Patience Ebor is a Lawyer (Advocate/Solicitor). She also has a
National Diploma in Community Development from the University Of
Benin, Edo State, LLB from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and was
called to the Nigeria Bar in 2002. She also holds a Certificate in
Alternative Dispute Resolution (Negotiation, Mediation, and
Arbitration)
She started her career with the Legal department of the Federal
Ministry of Women’s Affairs from where she proceeded to the Legal
department of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in
Persons where she was the Zonal Legal Officer saddled with the
responsibility of advising the office on all legal matters and
prosecuting all matters in the zone with regards to the prohibition
and traffic in persons. Thereafter she joined Unique Venture Capital
Management Company Ltd (UVC) in June 2005.
In UVC, she handles legal matters including legal agreements,
documentations, due diligence, and other necessary/bordering legal
issues, including extending her expertise to assisting portfolio
companies where and when the need arises and working with external
solicitors. |

Godwin has
desk and direct responsibility for the UVC/IFC West African Ventures
business operations and investment activities in Liberia and Sierra
Leone.
He joined UVC in 2006 with over 20 years of vast cross-functional
role experiences in lecturing/training, marketing and management
from diverse institutions like the University of Jos and Pharma Deko
Plc amongst others.
An Agricultural Extension Graduate, he is an expert in Technical
Assistance/Advisory Services to SMEs.
In UVC, Godwin has been actively involved in financial/investment
analysis, project management and advisory services to projects.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria,
the Project Management Institute, U.S.A, and a CFA Candidate of the
CFA Institute, Virginia, U.S.A.

Adebayo O. Olajide

Head of Audit
Adebayo O. Olajide has over 16 remarkable
years of accounting practices spanning audit, tax, financial and
management accounting. His cross-professional practices cover
merchandising, hospitality, security, Cash-In-Transit, haulage,
courier, and audit/consulting firms. He also has over five
years’ non-accounting profession experiences in lecturing and
training. He has attended several courses in accounting,
management, IT and security training.
He is currently the head of audit department of UVCMC Ltd with
the responsibility of audit, investigation, internal control
policy, accounting package and systems review. Prior to this, in
the course of his career, he had worked at management level in a
different organizations including Eko Fisheries Nig. Ltd, Kots
Catering Nig. Ltd, Armored Technologies & Systems Ltd and Ayo
Ashade & Co (Chartered Accountants), and has served in such
capacity as a team leader, operations manual
committee-coordinator, investigation and disciplinary panel
secretary, head of accounts, audit supervisor and consultant to
small and medium companies especially in management of suitable
accounting software for businesses including installation,
configuration and training services. Remarkably, he has helped
to transform many businesses from manual accounting process to
computerized system and installation of strong
accounting/internal control system via operations manual.
Adebayo O. Olajide holds HND in Accountancy from Kwara State
Polytechnic, PGD in Computer Science and Masters in Information
Technology all from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. He
is also a member of several professional bodies and an Associate
of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria ICAN,
Nigeria Institute of Management (ANIM), Microsoft Certified
Technology Specialist (MCTS).
